We collect information about you during the course purchase process, paypal, as well as information relating to your course progression and quiz performance.

What we collect and store for course processing:

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide your name, billing address, email address, phone number, state and trade license information, paypal details and optional account information like username, and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

    • Send you information about your account and order
    • Create your account for our system
    • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
    • Process payments and prevent fraud
    • We store information about you for as long as your account exists
    • Comply with any legal obligations we have
    • Improve our offerings
    • We store course progress, including completion status, quiz scores, assignments and/or essay submissions (if applicable).

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, Administrators can access:

    • Order information such as your enrolled courses, course progress and username / email address.
    • Any additional information added in your User Profile can also be visible to the administrator(s).

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, assist with course processing, and provide information to Authorized State Licensing Authorities and support you.

What organizations are collecting the information?

In addition to our direct collection of information, our third party service vendors (such as credit card companies, clearinghouses and banks) who may provide such services as credit, and insurance services may collect this information from our Visitors and Authorized Customers. We do not control how these third parties use such information, but we do ask them to disclose how they use personal information provided to them from Visitors and Authorized Customers. Some of these third parties may be intermediaries that act solely as links in the distribution chain, and do not store, retain, or use the information given to them.

Payments

We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

We use Personally Identifiable Information to customize the Site, to make appropriate course offerings, and to fulfill course and lesson requests on the Site or to fulfill Authorized Customer requests such as password resets, invoices, and course certificates. We may email and provide information on Authorized Customer course completions, certificates, state trade license details with Authorized State Licensing Authorities that govern the appropriate trade licenses for the purpose of recording continuing education credits and attendance in courses including submitted state issued Driver’s Licenses or IDs, and personal photos when requested and\or required. We may email Visitors and Authorized Customers about research or course availability on the Site or information related to the subject matter of the Site. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to contact Visitors and Authorized Customers in response to specific inquiries, or to provide requested information.

With whom may the information may be shared?

We provide Visitors and Authorized Customers with a mechanism to delete/deactivate Personally Identifiable Information from the Site’s database by contacting us. However, because of backups and records of deletions, it may be impossible to delete a Visitor’s entry without retaining some residual information. An individual who requests to have Personally Identifiable Information deactivated will have this information functionally deleted, and we will not sell, transfer, or use Personally Identifiable Information relating to that individual in any way moving forward.
